Synopsis: - Some kids from Montoya's old neighborhood accidentally stumble on a super-villains abandoned lair and spill some chemicals. Officer Andrew Kelly saves one of them, but the other knocks over another tube which causes a reaction with the first set of chemicals. He saves the kid, but is engulfed in the strange purple fire which erupts. When news of this reaches Central, Montoya asks to be given the case - Captain Sawyer reluctantly agrees. The detectives discover that the lair was that of Albert Desmond, Doctor Alchemy; and Andrew Kelly wakes up in a hospital, transformed into a strong purple monster.
