HISTORY
After hiring his nephew Jim Jordan as a much needed image consultant, billionaire Titus Thomas Jordan was convinced by Jim's wife Sue that Jim was actually the super hero Green Lantern. Uncle Titus created the colorful costume of a supervillain. Named the Bottler, the criminal disguise came complete with an arsenal of gimmick bottles.
Titus did not know someone else was using the Bottler identity. The criminal struck at a bottle factory, breaking into the company safe. He surprised the real Green Lantern with a bottle of sleeping gas and made his escape.
Arriving at their uncle's estate, the Jordan brothers were soon involved in the plot. Sue and Titus would have been surprised to know the Green Lantern in the family was none other than Hal Jordan. Titus ordered Hal to wear the Bottler's costume in the set up.
Hal was quickly put out of action by the real Bottler. Jim stumbled on to the plan but was also knocked out by the Bottler. The criminal entered the house and tied up the unsuspecting Titus and his third nephew, Jack. The Bottler was about to make off with the wealthy Jordan's precious stamp collection when he was apprehended by the real Green Lantern.
The Bottler was unmasked as Williams, Titus' chauffeur. The true identity of Green Lantern remained a secret. Though Jim Jordan had claimed he went to lie down after the blow from the real Bottler, his wife still believed he was the emerald crusader. -Green Lantern Vol. 2 #44/2
