Synopsis: - Aquaman is joined by his quest by Black Manta, his old enemy, now healed, sane and remorseful. Tempest can sense something dark and evil growing in the oceans, and leaves the quest to attempt to halt its progress. Aquaman, Manta, Brynhilde and Grymhilde travel to the deserts of Australia, sensing a long-dormant river goddess which the Thirst can also feel. The Thirst uses the essence he has drained from the Elbe and the Rhine to reawaken an ancient snake-like creature, the Rainbow Serpent of the Dreamtime. The Thirst plunges into its maw, followed by Aquaman.
